Ingredients
✓ 1 cup butter, cold and cut into cubes
✓ 1 cup brown sugar, packed
✓ ½ cup granulated sugar
✓ 2 eggs
✓ 3 cups all purpose flour
✓ 1 teaspoon cornstarch
✓ ¾ teaspoon baking soda
✓ ¾ teaspoon salt
✓ 1 cup mini chocolate chips
✓ ⅓ cup valentine sprinkles
✓ 24 chocolate hearts, unwrapped
Instructions
✓ Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Cream together the butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
✓ Beat in the eggs one at a time. Stir in the flour mixture, then fold in the chocolate chips and sprinkles.
✓ Roll dough into balls about 1 inch in diameter and place on ungreased baking sheets.
✓ Bake for 8-10 minutes or until edges are lightly golden and set but still soft in center.
✓ Cool completely before serving.
Notes
Chilling the dough helps control spread and results in thicker cookies. Store at room temperature or freeze.
