Ingredients
✓ 8 oz elbow macaroni
✓ 1 tablespoon salt
✓ 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
✓ 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
✓ 2 cups whole milk
✓ 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
✓ 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
✓ 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
✓ 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
✓ 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
✓ 1 cup shredded Gruyère cheese
✓ Salt and pepper to taste
✓ 1 lb cooked lobster meat
✓ 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
✓ 2 tablespoons melted butter
✓ 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
✓ Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
✓ Cook macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
✓ Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add flour and whisk to create a roux, cooking for 1-2 minutes.
✓ Slowly pour in milk, whisking constantly. Bring to a simmer and cook until thickened, about 5 minutes.
✓ Remove sauce from heat and stir in mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper. Season with salt and pepper.
✓ Add cheddar and Gruyère cheese to the sauce, stirring until melted and smooth.
✓ Combine cooked macaroni, cheese sauce, and lobster meat. Transfer to a baking dish.
✓ Mix breadcrumbs with melted butter and Parmesan cheese. Spread over the top of the macaroni mixture.
✓ Bake at 375°F for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
Notes
