Ingredients
✓ 2and 1/2 cups (285g) cake flour, spooned & leveled
✓ 2 teaspoons baking powder
✓ 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
✓ 1 teaspoon salt
✓ 3/4 cup (170g) unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
✓ 1and 1/2 cups (300g) granulated sugar
✓ 4 large egg whites, at room temperature
✓ 3/4 cup (180g) sour cream, at room temperature
✓ 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
✓ 3/4 cup (180ml) whole milk, at room temperature
✓ 1and 1/4 cups (110g) chopped Oreos (about 10 Oreos)
✓ 6 ounces (170g) full-fat cream cheese, softened to room temperature
✓ 3/4 cup (90g) confectioners’ sugar
✓ 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
✓ 1and 1/2 cups (360ml) cold heavy cream or heavy whipping cream
✓ 1 cup (90g) chopped Oreos (about 8 Oreos)
✓ Optional: mini or regular Oreos for garnish
Instructions
✓ Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch cake pan and line it with parchment paper.
✓ In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Whisk until well combined.
✓ Add in the softened butter, sugar, and egg whites. Mix on low speed for about 2 minutes until smooth.
✓ Fold in the sour cream and vanilla extract. Stir to incorporate but be careful not to overmix.
✓ Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Sprinkle half of the chopped Oreos on top.
✓ Repeat with the remaining batter, adding another layer of Oreos on top. Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
✓ Let the cake cool completely before assembling the cheesecake filling. In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese and confectioners’ sugar together until smooth.
✓ Fold in the heavy cream and vanilla extract. Spread this mixture over the top of the cooled cake layers.
✓ Chill the cake in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours to set the filling.
✓ Once chilled, garnish with additional chopped Oreos or mini Oreos if desired. Serve and enjoy!
