Ingredients
✓ 6 strips thick-cut bacon
✓ 4 large romaine or iceberg lettuce leaves, washed and dried
✓ 2 medium ripe tomatoes, sliced medium-thick
✓ 2 large flour tortillas
✓ 2 tablespoons mayonnaise or avocado spread
✓ Salt, to taste
✓ Black pepper, to taste
Instructions
✓ Preheat a large skillet over medium heat to 350°F (175°C). Place the bacon strips in the preheated skillet and cook for 5 minutes on one side before flipping and cooking for an additional 4-5 minutes until golden brown.
✓ Remove the cooked bacon from the pan and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess fat.
✓ Warm the tortillas by wrapping them in a clean kitchen towel or microwaving for about 30 seconds. Lay out one of the tortillas flat, spread mayonnaise evenly across its center, and place two lettuce leaves in the center.
✓ Top with tomato slices and bacon strips, then fold the tortilla in half from bottom to top and fold the sides inward towards the center. Secure with a toothpick if necessary.
Notes
Ensure tortillas are warm to avoid breakage; use mayonnaise or avocado spread to help ingredients stay together during cooking.
