Description

Teriyaki Tofu Stir-Fry is a delicious plant-based dinner featuring crispy tofu coated in a sticky teriyaki glaze, complemented by vibrant vegetables like broccoli and bell peppers, and garnished with sesame seeds.


Ingredients

  • 1 block of firm tofu, pressed and cubed
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated


Instructions

  1. Press the tofu to remove excess moisture, then cut it into cubes.
  2. In a bowl, mix the tofu cubes with soy sauce, sesame oil, and cornstarch until well coated.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat and add the tofu cubes. Cook until they are golden and crispy on all sides. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, add garlic and ginger, sauté for a minute until fragrant.
  5. Add broccoli and bell peppers to the pan, stir-fry for 5-7 minutes until they are tender-crisp.
  6. Return the tofu to the pan and pour in the teriyaki sauce. Stir well to coat everything evenly.
  7. Sprinkle sesame seeds over the stir-fry and toss to combine.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with additional sesame seeds if desired.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the tofu in the soy sauce mixture for 30 minutes before cooking.
  • Adjust the amount of teriyaki sauce to taste.
  • Serve with steamed rice or noodles for a complete meal.
