Description

Savory bite-sized treats that are perfect as appetizers, featuring a delicious combination of spinach, feta, and mushrooms.


Ingredients

  • 12 large mushrooms, stems removed
  • 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1/2 cup feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  3. Add chopped spinach to the skillet and cook until wilted. Remove from heat.
  4. In a bowl, combine the cooked spinach, feta cheese, cream cheese, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  5. Stuff each mushroom cap with the spinach and feta mixture.
  6. Place the stuffed mushrooms on a baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes or until the mushrooms are tender.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the filling.
  • These can be prepared ahead of time and baked just before serving.
