Juicy and flavorful spicy black bean burgers that are perfect for a plant-based dinner.
Ingredients

- 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1/2 cup corn kernels
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mash the black beans with a fork until mostly smooth.
- Add corn, breadcrumbs, onion, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the mashed beans. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into patties.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and heated through.
- Serve the patties on buns with your favorite toppings.
Notes
- For extra spice, add a pinch of cayenne pepper.
- These burgers can be frozen for up to 3 months.
