Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds, toasted
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Bring a pot of water to a boil and blanch the green beans for 2-3 minutes until bright green and crisp-tender. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the toasted sesame oil over medium heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add the blanched green beans to the skillet and toss to coat with the garlic and oil.
  5. Pour in the soy sauce and continue to cook for another 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Transfer the green beans to a serving dish and sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds before serving.
