- 4 large bell peppers, halved and seeded
- 1 lb beef strips
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 slices provolone cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Place the halved bell peppers in a baking dish.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté onions and mushrooms until soft.
- Add beef strips to the skillet and cook until browned. Season with salt and pepper.
- Fill each bell pepper half with the beef mixture.
- Top each filled pepper with a slice of provolone cheese.
