Ingredients
- 1 cup glutinous rice
- 1 1/2 cups coconut milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 ripe mangoes, peeled and sliced
- 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions
- Rinse the glutinous rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
- Soak the rice in water for at least 1 hour, then drain.
- Steam the rice for about 20-25 minutes until tender.
- In a saucepan, combine coconut milk, sugar, and salt. Cook over low heat until the sugar dissolves.
- Mix the cooked rice with the coconut milk mixture and let it sit for 30 minutes to absorb the flavors.
- Serve the sticky rice with sliced mangoes on top and sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds if desired.
