Ingredients
- 2 cups of cooked rice
- 1 cup of kimchi, chopped
- 2 tablespoons of gochujang
- 2 tablespoons of sesame oil
- 2 scallions, chopped
- 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
- 1 egg (optional)
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan over medium heat.
- Add the chopped kimchi and stir-fry for about 2 minutes.
- Add the gochujang and soy sauce, and stir well to combine.
- Add the cooked rice to the pan and mix thoroughly with the kimchi mixture.
- Drizzle sesame oil over the rice and continue to stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes.
- Season with salt to taste.
- In a separate pan, fry the egg to your liking.
- Serve the kimchi fried rice hot, topped with the fried egg and garnished with chopped scallions.
Notes
- For a vegetarian version, omit the egg or use a plant-based alternative.
