Ingredients
- 12 cannelloni tubes
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 1 cup cooked spinach, chopped
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, spinach, parmesan cheese, egg, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Fill each cannelloni tube with the ricotta mixture using a piping bag or spoon.
- Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
- Place the filled cannelloni tubes in the dish and cover with the remaining marinara sauce.
- Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top.
- Drizzle olive oil over the cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, add a pinch of nutmeg to the ricotta mixture.
- Ensure the spinach is well-drained to avoid a watery filling.
