Hobo Casserole with Ground Beef & Potatoes is a comforting and easy-to-make dish that combines ground beef, potatoes, and a creamy sauce for a hearty meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 large potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add the chopped onion to the beef and cook until the onion is translucent.
  4. In a baking dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes, followed by half of the beef mixture.
  5. Spread half of the cream of mushroom soup over the beef and potatoes.
  6. Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, beef mixture, and soup.
  7. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 1 hour.
  8. Remove the foil, sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top, and bake for an additional 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
