Ingredients
- 1 kg lamb
- 500 g potatoes
- 2 carrots
- 1 onion
- 3 cloves garlic
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon rosemary
- 1 teaspoon thyme
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F).
- Cut the lamb into large chunks and season with salt, pepper, rosemary, and thyme.
- Peel and slice the potatoes, carrots, and onion.
- In a large baking dish, layer the vegetables and place the lamb on top.
- Drizzle olive oil over the ingredients and add the garlic cloves.
- Cover the dish with a lid or aluminum foil.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 2 hours, or until the meat is tender.
- Remove the lid for the last 15 minutes to allow the meat to brown.
- Serve hot and enjoy your Croatian Peka.
