Ingredients
- 1 cup dried chickpeas, soaked overnight
- 1/2 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Drain and rinse the soaked chickpeas.
- In a food processor, combine chickpeas, parsley, cilantro, onion, garlic, cumin, coriander, salt, pepper, baking soda, and lemon juice. Pulse until the mixture is coarse but holds together.
- Form the mixture into small balls or patties.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Brush the falafel with olive oil and place them in the air fryer basket.
- Cook for 12-15 minutes, turning halfway through, until golden and crispy.
- Serve hot with your choice of sauce or in a pita with vegetables.
