Ingredients
- 200g macaroni pasta
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the macaroni pasta according to package instructions and drain.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes.
- Gradually add the milk, whisking continuously until the mixture thickens.
- Remove from heat and stir in the cheddar cheese until melted and smooth.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Combine the cooked pasta with the cheese sauce and mix well.
- Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and sprinkle the breadcrumbs evenly on top.
