Buffalo Cauliflower Bites are a spicy, crunchy, plant-based snack perfect for game day.
Ingredients
- 1 head of cauliflower, cut into bite-sized florets
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup water
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 cup hot sauce
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, water, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to create a batter.
- Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, allowing any excess to drip off, then coat with breadcrumbs.
- Place the coated florets on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes, turning halfway through.
- In a small bowl, mix the hot sauce and melted butter.
- Remove the cauliflower from the oven and toss with the hot sauce mixture until well coated.
- Return the cauliflower to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes until crispy.
- Serve immediately with your choice of dipping sauce.
Notes
- For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free flour and breadcrumbs.
