- 500g beef, diced
- 1/2 cup olives, sliced
- 1/4 cup raisins
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon cumin
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1 package of pastry dough
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F).
- In a large pan, cook the diced beef over medium heat until browned.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the pan and sauté until the onion is translucent.
- Stir in the cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper, and cook for another minute.
- Add the sliced olives, raisins, and beef broth to the mixture, and simmer for 10 minutes until the liquid is reduced.
- Roll out the pastry dough and cut into circles.
- Place a spoonful of the beef mixture onto each pastry circle.
- Fold the dough over the filling to form a half-moon shape and seal the edges.
- Brush the tops with beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the pastries are golden brown.
