Instructions

  1. Soak the skewers in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning.
  2. Cut the chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces.
  3. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, mirin, sake, and sugar to create the marinade.
  4. Marinate the chicken pieces in the mixture for at least 1 hour.
  5. Thread the chicken pieces and green onion onto the skewers, alternating between the two.
  6. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  7. Grill the skewers for about 5-7 minutes on each side, basting with the remaining marinade, until the chicken is cooked through.
