Ingredients

- 2 green onions, cut into 1-inch pieces

Instructions
- Soak the skewers in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning.
- Cut the chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces.
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, mirin, sake, and sugar to create the marinade.
- Marinate the chicken pieces in the mixture for at least 1 hour.
- Thread the chicken pieces and green onion onto the skewers, alternating between the two.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Grill the skewers for about 5-7 minutes on each side, basting with the remaining marinade, until the chicken is cooked through.
- Serve hot and enjoy your authentic Yakitori!
