This apple cinnamon crumble with oats is the ultimate cozy fall dessert—crispy on top, soft inside, and perfect with vanilla ice cream.

Ingredients

  • 6 medium apples (peeled, cored, sliced)
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (cold, cubed)
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease a baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, mix apple slices with lemon juice, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, and cornstarch.
  3. Transfer the apple mixture to the baking dish.
  4. For the crumble topping: combine oats, flour, brown sugar, and salt. Cut in the cold butter until crumbly.
  5. Sprinkle crumble evenly over the apples.
  6. Bake for 35–40 minutes until golden and bubbling.
  7. Cool slightly and serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
